Our next Wanna Know Wednesday will be November 19th in Distance Lab 1. (last room on the left before you go up to the grade 4-5 wing at 7:45)
I will show you how to use the equipment in this lab, we will go to Distance Lab 2 and I will show you how to run the equipment there and I will show you lab and resource scheduler to sign up for the labs with our school.
The emails I forward to you with the sessions have to be signed up with their link, but you will need to reserve a room here, too. Lab and Resource scheduler is what we use here to sign up for rooms. Login is your firstnamelastname (no space) password is password when you initially go in, and then you can change it.

Wanna Know Wednesday October 15
We will spend time exploring uses of Discovery Education. The video clips in the library have been cross-referenced to teaching standards for South Dakota. My goal is to show you how to search for a video: keyword, advanced, subject or grade search; play a video, download or save a video. We will look at My Content where you can collect and organize your resources.

September 17 Smartee ShowOff
Smart Board Showoff & What I have Learned and Issues I have encountered. This will be September 17th in Jason's room, 7:30 AM.
Again, come if you are interested and Smart Board Smartees show us an example of something you have done! This can count as 1/2 hr. towards the 4 hours necessary for grad credit.
For an extra half hour of your time written off, post a comment to this blog, pick anonymous but put your name in it. In the bottom of article, click on comments and it will make sense. Post an idea for a lesson, template used, how you used it. Tell us about a lesson you have done with your students, what your students are saying, how you feel about it, are they enhancing learning? A blog comment with information about a lesson you have presented that you will show at our smartee showoff would be a fabulous entry! REMEMBER! Extra 1/2 hour towards those 4 needed, so please write something thoughtful! Total of 1 hour available!!

First Wanna Know Wednesdays September 10 & September 17!
Hi everyone!
We will meet in the HP lab. Subject will be using accelerated reader, math facts in a flash and the new elementary online keyboarding package.
We will have user accounts for you and for your students for ren place. If you can't come, you can get your sheets from Dorothy and myself later! You could then set up your class for keyboarding with these logins and passwords for your students. I will have instructor accounts set up for the keyboarding.
This can count as 1/2 hr. towards your 4 hours necessary for grad credit from the smart board inservices! Everyone will also get 2 hours towards their credit for the inservice at the end of the month on "Who moved the Cheese: Intro to Office 2007". This presentation will be during the full day inservice in September.

March Wanna Know Meeting!
Our next Wanna Know Wednesday will be March 12th, 7:45 in the Gateway Lab.
- I will cover Internet Explorer 7,
- tab browsing,
- setting several home pages to start up when you open the internet,
- how to set an RSS feed from our calendar,
- how to export your favorites so you don't loose them when your machine is reimaged next summer, and then how to import them back in the fall!
